Wowza! The past month has been extremely busy with state testing, field study and wrapping up our last novel of the year! We are ready for a break! I have posted the May/June assignment calendar in the Literacy section.
The students have been working hard on their Lewis and Clark journals. They are beautiful and really special. Next week, Mrs. Sexton is going to introduce one more journal assignment as a wrap-up to the Lewis and Clark Unit. My students will have time in class on Tuesday 5/26 and Friday 5/29 to work on their journals, however, they should be working on their journals as homework. I will collect their journals at the end of the day on Friday 5/29, which will give me just enough time to read, score, and return them by the last day of school.
Since we are not working on another novel, I am asking that my students read at least 20 minutes a night from a book of their choice. I have provided the class with a reading log, so they can keep track and I ask that you initial their entries. Thank you so much!
Have a great day,
Mrs. Marron
